We’re halfway through the second week of our Advanced Filmmakers Summer Program, and what an incredible journey it's been so far! Apologies for the radio silence, but we've been knee-deep in shooting and editing Guy Guy 4, which is becoming an absolute epic.
We have to take a moment to recognize the absolute artistic excellence of one of our students, Domenic Bonanno, who just finished one of the best edits we’ve ever had at WCTV… from any producer… including our professional staff. Dom, who will be entering his freshman year at Wilmington High this fall, painstakingly recreated the iconic opening of The Sopranos, with Wilmington landmarks and businesses standing in for Tony Soprano’s Newark, New Jersey.
Dom didn’t simply spend hours on this edit: he spent days crafting it with precision and heart. The cuts, transitions, pacing are absolutely emasculate and stand out as a testament to Dominic’s talent and dedication.
Dom took a moment to reflect that even he was blown away by the edit, having a “wow, I made that” moment. We hope all of Wilmington takes a couple of minutes to watch it. It is truly incredible.
