Spend a week fully immersed in filmmaking at WCTV’s most advanced summer program.
This is a hands-on, studio-based experience for students who want to take their skills to the next level—whether you’re just getting started or already creating your own work.
What the Week Looks Like
Mornings are focused on building skills—camera work, editing, lighting, and storytelling. Students get real experience using professional equipment and industry-standard software, with guidance every step of the way.
Afternoons shift into creation mode.
Students will spend their afternoons working on larger, more in-depth projects—short films, video pieces, or other creative productions—either individually or in small teams. The goal is to take an idea from concept all the way through to a finished piece, just like a real production environment.
What You’ll Learn
-
Shoot with professional Sony cinema and mirrorless cameras (FX3, A7SIII, A7IV)
-
Understand cinematic techniques, framing, lighting, and visual storytelling
-
Edit using Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve
-
Explore motion graphics and effects with After Effects
-
Produce content for video, podcast, and broadcast
-
Learn the full production process: concept → planning → filming → editing → final delivery
Built for All Experience Levels
Students are grouped based on experience, so everyone can learn at the right pace. No prior experience needed—just creativity and a willingness to try things.
Led by WCTV Staff
Students work alongside WCTV’s professional production team, getting real mentorship in a working studio environment.
Why It’s Different
This isn’t just a series of small exercises.
It’s about creating something bigger.
By the end of the week, every student will have worked on a project they can be proud of—something that reflects their ideas, their voice, and their growth.
Space is limited.
