Letter from WCTV Board President Rick Aronofsky:

Being given the opportunity to serve in 2008 as the President of Wilmington Community Television is both an honor and a privilege. We have an exciting year in store for our membership and I encourage everyone to get more involved in this dynamic organization.
WCTV is experiencing a breathtaking time in our existence. We have the opportunity to serve the community and showcase our new studio which will be comprised of cutting edge digital equipment, new editing suites, offices and, most of all, additional work space and storage areas. Our new studio will allow us to attract new active members who can deliver to the community fresh and exciting programming.
Moving to a new studio presents to us many challenges, both logistical and monetary. During this transition it is important to maintain quality programming to our customers and viewers as well as showing fiscal constraints to stay within our budgets.
Also, I want to express my appreciation to all of the former officers of the board, the board members, and all the staff of WCTV for all of their hard work and dedication this
past year.
I would especially like to thank Elaine Hoff, who stepped in as a board member and was instrumental in finding WCTV a new home. Indeed, we are fortunate to have the guidance and counsel of Elaine who showed us her professional work ethic and perseverence.

   Congratulations, 2008 WCTV Scholarship winners!

WCTV is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2008 WCTV scholarships: The scholarships are awarded to eligible students pursuing the field of communications. WCTV scholarship funds are primarily raised through the sales of program copies during the year such as copies of high school senior activities including the graduation, promenade, and awards night ceremony. We thank many residents and businesses who purchased copies of our programs and provide sponsorships. This year, WCTV is awarded $2,100 in scholarships to the student recipients!
