Media Lab

WCTV’s Media Lab consists of six separate work stations. Most of these work stations are computer-equipped and can be used by WCTV staff and members.
The tasks performed in this area include:
   -Internet browsing
   -Video editing and post-production
   -Archival copying of videotaped
         program material
   -Audio editing and production
   -DVD authoring
Here’s a closer look at these work stations...

         INTERNET STATIONS:
   MEDIA 01 AND MEDIA 02

These are the two Internet-enabled research stations used by WCTV members to do online research on issues related to their production projects. In addition to internet access, these machines are equipped with software to handle duties like word processing and image editing, so that our members can make eye-catching packages and promotional material for their programs.

   APPLE EDITING STATIONS:
       iMAC 01 AND iMAC 02

These two stations are primarily used in the
post-production process. After completing
any needed training, WCTV members can
use these work stations to load the video
clips shot on location.
Once the video clips are captured into the
system, they can be edited together to make
a completed television program. In addition
to editing, members can also add a variety
of title graphics and special effects to their
video projects. These iMac work stations
are equipped with state-of-the-art software:
       -Final Cut Pro
       -DVD Studio Pro
       -Soundtrack Pro
       -Motion
       -LiveType
These work stations are designed with all skill levels in mind, not just the advanced user. The iMacs’ entry-level software includes: iMovie HD; iDVD; iPhoto, and
Final Cut Express

 DELL PC EDITING STATIONS:
         PREMIERE 01 AND
             PREMIERE 02

For the PC person, we also have a video workstation set up on the Windows platform. Much like on the iMacs, users can capture, edit, and complete their video projects.
This machine is equipped with the Adobe Production Studio Ensemble, including:
     -Premiere Pro 2.0 (Video Editor)
     -Photoshop CS2 (Photo Editor)
     -Encore DVD (DVD Authoring)
