...tell them how
much you
appreciate their
support of
community
television!

Here we are in the Control
Room, getting the last details ready before we take to the air LIVE!

Presenting...the Bernardo sisters! Kara (left) and
Kaileigh (right) have been part of our Youth Program for years, and, along with others in the group, have formed a core group of enthusiastic, talented students.

And we’re on the air!
Board of Directors President Chris Neville
gives the keynote address.

WCTV Executive Director
Donna Gacek tells of the progress made by WCTV in the past year.

In keeping with our 20th
Anniversary Super Bowl motif,
it’s time to recognize the
players of WCTV...

Recognition awards given to WCTV Staff.
Receiving special awards are
Operations Manager Bill Robert and
Community Outreach Manager Mike Morrisey.

Irene Buckley, from the
Operation A.B.L.E. program,
gets recognition for all her
great work at WCTV.

Also receiving special recognition from Donna: long-time WCTV members who still
remain quite here, namely (left to right) Tom Pazyra, Dick Grinder and Jim Durkee.

Also getting a WCTV
“pat on the back”,
“Where’s Wilmington?”
host Lisa Kapala.

Community Outreach Manager Mike Morrisey
recognizes the students who participated in WCTV’s
Spring Video Vacation Program.
Receiving her certificate is Kaileigh Bernardo.

Operations Manager Bill Robert introduces a new award, called the
“I Saw It On WCTV Award”, recognizing Wilmington student athletes who attain
a career milestone in a game that is cablecast on WCTV.
Here are the winners (from left to right):
-Ashley Vitale, from the WHS Girls Basketball Team, who became the first girl ever
to score 1,000 points in her Wilmington High career. (The image quality is so-so,
but she could not attend the actual meeting, so we taped her award ahead of time.)
-Jessica Scioli, from the WHS Girls Varsity Hockey Team, who scored her 100th
career goal in a game that was shown on WCTV.
-Maria Tucker, teammate of Jessica Scioli on the Girls Hockey Team, who scored
her 100th career point in a game aired here on WCTV.

Another new award, the “WCTV Stage Parent” Award.
This award recognizes the parents who show so much
interest in their child’s activities that they not only take
the time and videotape them, but also produce
programs to share with the viewers of WCTV.
Shown here (left to right):
-Dave McMahon, who got the award for his work with
the Girls Varsity Hockey Team (his daughter
Theresa plays defense).
-Bob Ham, whose son is active in the Wilmington High
bands, receiving recognition for the concert programs
he has produced for WCTV.

And that’s a wrap!
Board of Directors President Chris Neville closes out
the evening’s events.
