WCTV's 2007 Annual Meeting

During the 2007 Annual Meeting, Operations Manager Bill Robert introduced a new award, called the “I Saw It On WCTV Award”, recognizing Wilmington student athletes who attain a career milestone in a game that is cablecast on WCTV. Ashley Vitale, from the WHS Girls Basketball Team, became the first girl ever to score 1,000 points in her Wilmington High career. Jessica Scioli, from the WHS Girls Varsity Hockey Team, scored her 100th career goal in a game that was shown on WCTV. Maria Tucker, teammate of Jessica Scioli on the Girls Hockey Team, scored her 100th career point in a game aired here on WCTV.

Another new award, the “WCTV Stage Parent” Award. This award recognizes the parents who show so much interest in their child’s activities that they not only take the time and videotape them, but also produce programs to share with the viewers of WCTV. Dave McMahon, got the award for his work with the Girls Varsity Hockey Team (his daughter Theresa plays defense). Bob Ham, whose son is active in the Wilmington High bands, received recognition for the concert programs he has produced for WCTV.
